2024

Well hello 2024…it only took till March to find a few minutes to update things a bit!

As many of you have noticed, Nashville has changed drastically over the last few years, especially. With that being said, we still navigate as best as possible to get around our everloving traffic lol. However, please plan accordingly when it comes to departure times for trips. I can always give you my suggestion, but ultimately it’s up to you as to when you leave. Just something to keep in mind.

Speaking of changes, we are no longer on social media. To be honest, I’ve been over all of it for quite a while and it’s become an interesting place for businesses. Do you notice how mostly everyone’s posts are sunshine and rainbows versus showing real life? Businesses being attacked and “cancelled” for simply having an opinion. The fact is, real life isn’t always pretty and I think perpetuating the narrative for whatever reason is, is a dangerous territory to enter. It stops genuine conversation and people feel the need to become something or someone they aren’t. Investment of time is needed in life and for those that matter, we can make the time. Stop scrolling and start calling. Yes, phones can still be used to speak to others :)

In other news, it’s taken some time and after a lot of patience we’ve finally added a 2023 GMC Yukon XL Denali to the fleet! It’s been such a blessing to not only us but to all our clients. The space feels much larger than it’s previous models and the accommodations have been great.

I have more planned for this year but I will update this as those things unfold. Hope everyone has a great spring! Stock up on your local honey…the pollen is coming ;)

Well, looks like it's time for an update!

It’s a bit bizarre to look back at this site and see my last post from Feb 2020. The world was a completely different place and it’s been a whirlwind since. We started to bounce back fall of 2021, however with inflation booming and budgets getting tighter…we’re losing clientele this quarter. I know most businesses won’t admit that, but that’s why we’re not like them. I have no problem admitting where we but I am working every day to try and figure out how to bridge the loses again.

I have operated by word of mouth for years upon years. I’ve stayed away from aligning with brokers who make us wear a certain outfit or adhere to what types of cars they want us in, in order to have their business. Maybe thats helped me, maybe thats hurt me? Who knows. However, I’m proud of the company that was built and we will see how the chips fall.

It’s important now more than ever to continue to support small businesses, ALL of them. The second we lose those in this country and the monopoly takes over…it’s all downhill. I am grateful to every single person who ever booked a car, whether it was once or countless times. If you have referred us to friends or family, thank you to you as well. I hope everyone sees what is happening around them and continues to fight for what makes this country amazing. Freedom.

Clear Vision

2020 to me is the year of clear vision, realizing what’s important and how to make that the forefront. Last year I almost lost my dad when his car flew off a cliff, crashed into a tree, flipped once or twice and landed at the bottom of said cliff, near a stream. Not only did God save him from the accident but he’s making a miraculous recovery at 78 years old. This accident made me refocus myself when it comes to my business ventures. I am learning to let my team do what they do best. As an owner, it’s hard to let go…however, in order to grow, you need to open your hand and allow that to happen. As long as I own it, I will always be a part of it…I’m just not going to let it OWN me. Sleep its kinda important ;)

In other news, the new GMC Yukon XL is supposed to come out this summer, and if it’s as good as they say it is…then I will look at upgrading the fleet. Many of the latest SUV’s cut 5 inches out of their cargo space and that’s unacceptable, GMC is saying they added 6! This is why I ask our clients for their suggestions and feedback. Thankfully our group agreed that it was more important to have a vehicle with ample cargo space vs little additions that would only work for a time being. So, we’ll see what GMC releases come summer.

I have locked down our company twitter and took a break from instagram. I could easily bring in someone younger to post pictures daily, but honestly…I don’t see the point. I’m 36 and just don’t get it. We don’t post photos of our clients and I’m not updating the fleet constantly to keep people entertained lol. Taking a break from social media has been good mentally and has been such a release. A few other folks I know have done the same and completely agree. If anyone wants to know anything, please call :) 615-522-4819

Talking about mental situations, we have been going back and forth with the board and team over at BNA. Our rates to go inside to pickup a client have SKYROCKETED. I’ve very transparent with our clients and I would like to be that way with you as well. We went from paying $1.50/$1.75 per trip plus a city tax (park and go inside) to a timed rate. For us to be inside for an hour is now $8.00. For us to park, walk from the new parking center to baggage level (in open elements), greet our client, wait 30+ min for baggage (more if a bag is lost), then walk to the new parking center…can easily be close to if not over an hour. I’m not ok with this and have had countless conversations about this. If someone is using a service to get to the airport, it should be an expedited process, not harder. So once I have something to update about that, I will gladly pass it along.

That’s it for now, Hudson the pup is doing well and has made some new friends…yes we are an animal friendly service for those that didn’t know :) Hope everyone has a great upcoming spring!

Hey everyone! Well, it's been an interesting 2018 so far to say the least. I can't believe it's almost June! Our newest announcement is we've added to our fleet yet again! We've just brought on a black, 14 passenger plus driver Ford Transit Extended 350 XLT. Completely covered in leather, high roof so you can walk straight in, and a full cargo area for everyone's gear. Those are just some of the main highlights. This business started with 1 SUV and has grown so far since then. All by word of mouth, which many people said couldn't be done. Please follow us on Instagram @gobigtransport for all our latest news. We still have our twitter account as well. One big change we did make is, I took down our Facebook page. I personally have removed myself off Facebook, and you can't have a business page without a personal page. If you've met me, you know I am very big on personal interactions and it just wasn't my cup of tea. Other than that, we're still here and doing our best to exceed your expectations on a daily basis! Take care!

By the end of March 2017 our drivers will be First Aid/CPR Certified. We are also branching into special needs as well, more info to come.

None of this would be possible if it wasn't for YOU. It amazes me every day that I get to run a company that not only is based in a great city, I work with people I adore and clients I absolutely love. None of that will ever sit lightly with me. Watching you, your kids, your pets :) grow up over time has been an absolute honor. Getting to know your friends, family, co-workers, and those that support your dreams has been a joy. It's like a constant movie that I enjoy watching every day. This city is changing rapidly but to know there are genuine people who respect great service is very comforting.

Originally I had the concept of only rolling SUV's as our fleet however after listening to a few of our female clients, we have now added a sedan. This makes it easier for y'all to get out of the car on those important nights and we heard you :) The Lincoln MKS we purchased was from Lyons Ford (http://lyonsfordlewisburg.com/) and if your ever looking for an SUV please visit their Chevy/Buick/GMC location (http://www.lyonsgm.com/) literally down the street from each other in Lewisburg, TN. It's family owned and they are absolutely wonderful to work with! No one will take better care of you.

At the end of last year we also added a genuine Nintendo to our Yukon XL. This has been an awesome upgrade and we're looking to enhance the sedan as well hopefully later this year. With how bad Nashville traffic is getting, we wanted to add an option to help keep you entertained. If there is a specific game you'd like, just let us know and we'll do our best to find it. On that note I am going to wrap this up :) I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful new year and I am looking forward to seeing what the road up ahead holds. Please add us on your social media and keep up with the latest. Links can be found below!

Today's current market is overflowing with rideshare organizations however because of YOU, WE are still here. I've watched small businesses fold, some restructure, but in the end Go Big is still growing within the transportation industry. If you don't follow us on social media (links can be found below) then let me make you aware that we are sponsoring the Chicago Red Stars (www.chicagoredstars.com) for their 2016 National Women's Soccer League season! We will periodically be giving out tickets to their home games in Chicago so please follow/like us to keep up to speed with that. As a soccer supporter and ex-player....this is something I am looking forward to greatly especially during an Olympic year. We will be hosting viewing parties at the official US Soccer bar in Nashville: Jed's Sports Bar & Grille (www.jedsnashville.com) throughout the season as well so stay tuned for that. We have a few other things stirring in the pot, so keep checking back in :)

Go Big has been up and going for just over a year and a half now and the fact that we've driven some of Nashville's top clientele is mind blowing to me. This company started with a $1,000.00, 5 clients and a whole lot of faith. We don't advertise on billboards or in magazines, however only by word of mouth and koozies :) . You will recognize us by our converse sneakers and that will never change. I've always been a believer that the quality of what you bring to the table will be noticed and I never want us to be ordinary. Thank you Nashville for believing in a small business and the people that make it work. We couldn't do this without you and the trust you have in us.
